Dear Sirs, with great interest I have read in the book "The Man with the Midas Touch", that Mr. Barry is planning a new concept album called "The Seasons". I'm a great fan of his music and like CDs as "The Beyoundness of Things" and "Eternal Echoes". Please can you inform me when probably the new album will be released? Thanks a lot for your effort. Kind regards Hans J Heuel

Mr. Barry, As I listen to "Dances with Wolves" I am taken back to what life must have been like in America then. The country was so big, beautiful and free. This music has a patriotic sound to it with the drums and piccolo, my heart swells. As America struggles with all that is happening with the economy, taxation, and legislation I wonder how it can continue being free. Mr. Barry, would you write a song for us. Something to inspire and cling to. We have no leadership and are falling through mid-air. We need a rally cry. We need a "Dances with Wolves". Thank You.

Dear Mr. Barry,
Thank you for your music and inspiring me. I remember in 1964 listening in our basement, as a boy, over & over to the Soundtracks of Goldfinger & From Russia With Love. Your music took me on a journey. You set the bar that I always try to reach in my music.
Much happiness and good health, Mr. Barry.
Sincerely, Clyde Lucas

Dear Mr. Barry I really hope that by some means this message bears the possibility of being delivered to you. I am here by writing to tell you that I am watching some really old pictures I took of the Lake District area of Austria with its grand mountains and crystal clear blue lakes, only that it all became complete to me while accompanying my eyes to listen to your majestic album "Beyondness of Things". I do very much appreciate the fact that in this life there are still talented and human hearts able to compose such wonderful music like that of yours. You have sure brought to me joy and peace by listening to your music. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. God bless you. Sincerely, Omar El Gindy. Cairo Egypt.

Iam investigating 4 movie themes... -Goldfinger-Shirley Bassey -Live and led die-Paul McCartney -Licence To Kill-Gladys Knight -Goldeneye-Tina Turner.
My main question is...if there are any directives, normes or rules for how to write and compose a James Bond title theme? thankfull for any kind of adwise or help!

John Barry's music enlightens me to the core. As an animal lover and activist, I am drawn to his most beautiful scores from the films Born Free and Out of Africa. Born free and Mr. Barry's score forever changed me as a child. I recently met Will Travers, son of Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna, who portrayed George and Joy Adamson in the film.

Dearest Mr Barry,
I have a very serious request for you Mr Barry.
If you have any spare, unwanted compositions that you wish to discard or if you have any spare time on your hands would you mind creating me a theme tune?
I have come to the decision that i need a musical piece that can be played upon my entry into a room, or upon performing a miraculous feat.
I would be very thankful if you could perform this wonderful task your me.
yours sincerely
Patrick Finch

How do you decide which is best between "The Deep" or "The Girl with the Sun in her Hair" I don't think I can.
I will have to keep listening!
Mr Barry.could you comment on which is your favourite not because of the work it took to compose but the piece that you think is the most enjoyable to listen to?

Genius and great are terms all too often thrown at those who have been in the spotlight for five minutes.
They are not descriptions that do justice to your splendid catologue.
Please do another London concert soon so I can take my son (13) and educate him as to what beautiful, melodic, atmospheric and exciting music should be like.
Rest assured that in these times of tuneless c**p there are still people who appreciate beautiful moving music.

The greatest film score writer ever.
The most stupid thing the Bond producers did was take you off the score writing.
Bond aside the use of trombones, trumpets and drums have always made a film memorable rather than just good.
I wish you could go on forever!!!

As a big fan of John Barry's and an American, I thought fellow fans might get a kick out of a really cool t-shirt company and t-shirt called There's Something About Barry - www.theressomethingaboutbarry.com. These cool shirts are political (about the Obama campaign) - but they have cool logo shirts with There's Something About Barry and they ship internationally! Cheers!
