Denis March

Right-hand opening batsman. Played chess for Downend & Fishponds.

Roger Evans

Decent all-rounder who often opened the bowling, right-arm medium pace. He batted in the top order. Captain for a couple of years. Worked as a chemist for RTZ at Avonmouth before moving across the bridge to Tutshill. Played chess for Downend & Fishponds.

Alan Cox

Aggressive left-armed opening fast bowler who became a very competent batsman, mainly in the middle order. Once took all ten wickets in an innings. Worked as a bookbinder before joining the prison service.

Geoff Leonard

Right-arm opening medium fast bowler. Obdurate later order left-hand batsman. Club secretary and captain though he resigned before the season began. Worked in banking for many years.
